The only thing better than Anita Diamant, author of the beloved Red Tent, writing a new book with menstruation as its focus, is that our very own Jennifer Weiss-Wolf was invited to review it for Marie Claire. Diamant’s book, “Period. End of Sentence: A New Chapter in the Fight for Menstrual Justice,” out this week, details the work of a new generation of advocates, intent on erasing stigma and demanding equity, who are building a movement that is gaining more and more steam, and demanding that everyone be a part of creating lasting change.

Jennifer Weiss-Wolf, a member of the Girls Helping Girls. Period. Board of Directors, has been a leader in the fight for the term she, herself, dubbed menstrual equity. Newsweek rightly called her the “architect of the U.S. policy campaign to squash the tampon tax.” There is really no better activist, author, or badass better suited to review Diamant’s new work than Weiss-Wolf, who herself has authored several books including, Periods Gone Public, and is a co-founder of Period Equity, a group of lawyers “leveraging the tools of law and policy to ensure that menstruation never poses a barrier to civic engagement and participation.”
